Fantastic Furniture Guarantees, Terms of Sale, Change of Mind Returns and Product Care

Terms of Sale

Payment

Full payment for your purchase is required before pick-up or delivery of your purchase. We accept cash, cards, direct debit and offer finance solutions.

Delivery and pick-up

Once your products arrive, we will contact you to arrange pick-up or delivery. If delivery cannot be made at the arranged time, for example if you are not home, additional delivery fees will apply for a second delivery. If you have arranged to pick-up your goods, we would appreciate it if these goods are collected within 7 days.

Have you changed your mind?

We understand that choosing the right furniture is not easy. Sometimes things will be too big, too small or simply aren’t right. So you can shop with confidence, you can simply return any purchase to the store you bought it from within 7 days of purchase and exchange it for another item or refund as long as:

  • You have clear proof of purchase, such as a receipt;
  • The product and its packaging is in original condition, including any manuals and accessories; and
  • The product is not an excluded product (see list below).

We do not offer ‘change of mind returns’ on the following products:

  • Mattresses; and
  • Extended warranties.

Fantastic Furniture Quality Guarantee

All Fantastic Furniture products come with the Fantastic Furniture Quality Guarantee so you can shop with complete piece of mind. 

As your satisfaction is important to us the benefits provided by our Quality Guarantee are additional to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law: Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

What is the Fantastic Furniture Quality Guarantee?

Fantastic Furniture will repair or replace any product with a manufacturing or materials fault for the duration of the Quality Guarantee period. The Quality Guarantee only applies to products that are used for normal domestic purposes and excludes products used for commercial purposes. The Quality Guarantee applies to the original purchaser only and is not transferable.

What is the Quality Guarantee period?

The duration of the Quality Guarantee varies for different products, as detailed below. Each period starts from the date of purchase.

Lounge and sofa products labelled as ‘Australian made’

  • 10 years for defects in the seat webbing
  • 5 years for defects in the frame
  • ComfortPlus products carry a 10 year frame guarantee.
  • 1 year for defects in stitching, zippers, padding and comfort foams

All other lounge and sofa products

  • 2 years for defects in the seat webbing and frame
  • 1 year for defects in stitching, zippers, padding and comfort foams

All other products

Fantastic Furniture offers to rectify, repair or replace individual items that have defects in materials or workmanship from the date of purchase as detailed below:

  • 1 year for each individual item purchased up to the value of $200
  • 2 years for each individual item purchased between the value of $200 and $500
  • 5 years for each individual item purchased over the value of $500

Exclusions

The Quality Guarantee does not apply to:

  • Damage caused by incorrect assembly, storage, use or cleaning of the product
  • Normal wear and tear or damage, including stains, caused by impacts or accidents
  • Rips, wearing, pilling, creasing or fading of upholstery
  • Fading or discolouration caused by excessive exposure to direct sunlight

How do I claim?

If your product is defective, you can make a claim by contacting your nearest Fantastic Furniture store or by contacting our central claims department on (02) 8717 2600 or mail to Fantastic Furniture Pty Ltd, 62 Hume Hwy, Chullora NSW 2190

You will need to provide proof of purchase, normally your receipt, as part of your claim.

What will be done to correct the problem?

Fantastic Furniture may need to examine the product to determine if the defect is covered by this Quality Guarantee. If it is covered, Fantastic Furniture will, at its choice, either repair the product or replace it with the same or a comparable product at no cost.

Transportation costs

For the duration of the Quality Guarantee Fantastic Furniture will not charge you any transportation fees for pick up or drop off should the product be deemed to fail under the Quality Guarantee.
