Dignity

Corporate Charity Partner

We believe all Australians deserve a home which is safe and happy. With stores across the country, we recognise the need to make a positive contribution to the communities where we operate.

Fantastic Furniture is a longstanding Platinum Partner of Dignity and the Ready To Work Housing program. We work collaboratively to empower people who are at risk of experiencing homelessness, to prevent, respond to, and end their homelessness.

Our partnership includes providing furniture for all of Dignity’s guest homes and longer-term housing units, as well as warehouse space for Dignity's storage and distribution needs. Throughout the year and at Christmas, our dedicated team of volunteers support Dignity to help those in the community at risk of or experiencing homelessness.



Christmas Appeal

Every year we support Dignity and their partners to help make Christmas special for those in the community doing it tough.

Our Team

Our Fantastic team donate food, clothing and toys for Dignity’s Christmas Hampers and volunteer to help pack them. These hampers are distributed to Dignity’s guest homes, community centres and social service partners nationally, bringing Christmas joy to people in need.

Our Customers

Our customers are given the opportunity to donate on behalf of Dignity to help end homelessness in their local community. Tax-deductible donations can be made in-store, with proceeds going directly to supporting Dignity’s ‘1 Million Meals’ project.

With cost of living increasing and more people at risk of homelessness in the community, demand for Dignity's food relief is greater than ever. ‘1 Million Meals’ will see Dignity’s Food Relief expand to distribute one million meals to people doing it tough around Australia.

How else do we work together?

Ready to Work Housing

In 2020, Dignity launched Ready To Work Housing in partnership with Fantastic Furniture. This innovative and unique program provides people who are experiencing homelessness with safe, stable housing for up to 12 months, and an employment opportunity with us.

Dignity provide on-site support to ensure participants have the wrap-around support they need to progress through the program and increase their housing security.



Warehouse Space

To assist with Dignity’s storage and distribution needs, Fantastic Furniture provide warehouse space allowing Dignity to accept and store bulk donations and in turn, increase the number of people they support.

To further support during peak Christmas periods, an additional space is allowed for Dignity’s Christmas HQ, providing an ideal space for over 400 corporate volunteers to assist with sorting and packing Christmas hampers.


Volunteering

Throughout the year, our Fantastic volunteers help to set up Dignity’s guest homes, unloading, unpacking and assembling the furniture supplied by Fantastic. They also volunteer to support Dignity’s operations with specific skill-based activities. At Christmas, they sort donations and pack hampers to help Dignity bring joy to people in need.
